A crisis situation can be upon you quicker than a blink of the eye, this can be in the home, work, on the road to or form work and even when you’re shopping. First Aid training is so essential life skill, bottom-line is could you deal with it?

From the simplest of cuts or injuries to the extent of severe life-threatening situations from choking to heart attacks. Our lead trainer has the skills, knowledge, attributes and training accumulated over 20 years of experience with adults to babies to help show you how to manage these situations.

The empowerment that you can achieve from receiving Emergency First Aid Training and delivering basic skills to people by basic techniques can be the difference between life and death.

There are many different situations from injury to illness that can present an emergency situation. You will never be able to change what happens, however what you can change is what you do about it. The key to successful course selection is a quality 3 step process.

There are a number of courses below to meet today’s needs in modern society.

Emergency First Aid at Work – 6 hours

A great level 3 accredited 1-day course, looking a little deeper inside the human bodies biological processes. During this training individuals will experience blended learning of theoretical and practical applications of skills need to manage life threatening situations. Topics include CPR & Defibrillation; Asthma; Burns: Strokes; Epilepsy and Diabetes to mention just a few.

First Aid At Work – 18 hours

This Ofqual approved course covers all aspects of Basic Life Support; CPR; Bleeding; Unconsciousness; Choking; Head injuries including spinal injuries and management; sprains and strains along with a vast range of first aid situations you can come across at work.

Paediatric Emergency First Aid – 6 hours

A 1-day course aimed individuals and organisations that care for children, this 1 level 3 course is governed by Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or OFSTED covering subjects such as; CPR; Bleeding control; Choking and many more.

Paediatric First Aid – 12 hours

This great course covers subjects such as; Child and Baby Basic Life Support again governed by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or OFSTED. The course also covers life threatening conditions including CPR; Defibrillation; Bleeding control and Choking.

BLS and Safe Use of an AED – 4 hours

This 4-hour level 2 accredited course comprising of theoretical, practical learning and testing includes the understanding of principles of; First Aid; Resuscitation; Minor injuries; Dealing with an unconscious person and Safe use of an AED. This qualification can be condensed into an annual 3-hour refresher course. (proof of prior certification required).

Basic Life Support (BLS) – 3 Hours

An introductory level 2 accredited 3-hour course comprised of theoretical and practical learning. This course covers emergencies such as; CPR; The Primary Survey; The Recovery Position and Choking. Activity First Aid – 12 hours

With this 2-day level 3 accredited course will cater for individuals who conduct activities in outdoor isolated conditions. Whilst focusing on skills including CPR and bleeding control it equally addresses the risks posed by outdoor activities.

Appointed Person – 2 Hours

This is a two-hour theoretical non accredited course which is best suited to personnel in admin roles. The course covers topics such as Legislation; Equipment and Facilities; Responsibilities; Accident and Reporting and Risk assessments of First Aid Needs. Click here to find out more.

Forestry First Aid – 2-hour bolt onto (EFAW/FAAW)

The forestry first aid course is a level 3 accredited 2-hour bolt on course to the Emergency First Aid at Work course (EFAW). Candidates will be required to produce an in-date copy of their current EFAW certificate. In addition to these skills candidates will be exposed to; Crush injuries; Hypothermia/Exposure; Catastrophic bleeding and the use of tourniquets and haemostatic dressings and compression bandages. This qualification is equally good for Agriculture as well.

Annual Refresher for First Aiders – 3 hours

This course is only for personnel who can prove they are already qualified in the Emergency First Aid course. This HSE recommended course covers all elements offered in the Appointed persons course.

Student First Aid – 3 hours

This course is designed for delivery to secondary school aged children. Delivered through 8 modules children will be trained in management of; Primary and Secondary survey’s; Resuscitation; Defibrillation; Disorders of Respiration and common injuries. Successful students will achieve a level 2 award

First Aid Risk Assessment – 6 hours

A theoretical 1-day course which helps navigate through the HSE requirements for first aid in the workplace. A level 2 accredited course which provides detailed information about the considerations and factors in order to assist in the needs to produce a Risk Assessment of First Aid Needs for any business.

Immediate Management of Anaphylaxis – 6 hours

Anaphylaxis is a life-threatening reaction to an allergy. There are many different triggers for this condition, which is on the rise. If not identified and treated quick enough this condition can cause fatalities. This level 3 accredited qualification gives the training to identify and treat quickly. Ideal for any setting where people from children to adults can come into contact with different triggers.
